What is an Urban Safari? While we, the founders of the San Francisco Urban Safari Association, have, and are in the process of, scribing a list of official looking bylaws for our particular brand of Safari, there are no set requirements -- save for one rule. Something must be discovered. Whether it be a person, place, thing or idea, big (a new town) to the small ("Whoa, turn around, I just saw a nipple!") or in between, you must find something on an Urban Safari.

Our Urban Safari Recipe reads as such:

1 Motor Vehicle, preferably four-wheel-drive with seeting for at least four. We are fond of Nate's 1973 Land Rover Series III. Pictures forthcoming.
2-6 Safari Goers, though we rarely are less than three or more than six.
Personal Gear, ours includes fishing rods, waders/wellies, a camera, wool blankets, a badass Orvis hat that makes you look like Josey Wales, tripod seats available at Gus's Discount Tackle for less then $10, and iPods, though they tend to not like water.
Combine the above ingredients inside of your motor vehicle, shake or stir and serve with ice.

The trick about this record is that we're all incredibly unmotivated, so updates will be haphazard if at all. But in keeping with the Urban Safari tradition, what's the point if you know how it's going to end up.
